Pixar uses an eight-line spine to scaffold every story: 'Once upon a time… every day… until one day… because of that… because of that… until finally… ever since then…'. Practising the spine teaches a team to construct narrative — for pitches, for product launches, for keynotes.
How to run it

In groups of 3, build a 5-minute story together using each line in turn.

Each group performs their story to another group.

Run a second round with a real business topic — 'the launch of feature X' or 'how we won customer Y'.
