Based on industry-standard per-person allocations (e.g. 0.9 m² theatre, 1.5 m² classroom, 1.8 m² banquet) plus circulation and AV space.

Should I add a buffer?

Yes — we apply a default 15% buffer for AV stations, water stations and registration. Increase to 25% if you'll have a stage or band.

What about ceiling height?

For groups over 80 we recommend minimum 3.5m ceiling. The tool flags any layout where this matters.

Are accessibility requirements factored in?

Yes — wheelchair clearance and accessible-seating allowances are baked into the per-person numbers.

Does it account for AV booth and stage?

Accepted Answer

Yes — when you tick 'main stage' or 'AV booth', we add a fixed allowance to the minimum room size.
