Borrowed from consulting interviews, the case-study warm-up replaces small talk with shared cognition. Pick a real, scoped, slightly spicy problem from your business and let small groups solve it for fifteen minutes before the day's real agenda.
How to run it
- 1
Pre-write a one-paragraph case grounded in your business — for example: 'Our trial-to-paid conversion has dropped 4 points this quarter. You have 15 minutes and the room.'
- 2
Form groups of 4. Give them 12 minutes to discuss and 3 minutes to align on a single recommendation.
- 3
Each group shares its recommendation in 60 seconds.
- 4
Capture the patterns. Often the real agenda just emerged.
