City scavenger hunt

Cross-functional teams race a list of photo missions across a city.

A city scavenger hunt scales beautifully — we've run it for 20 people and for 250. The mechanic forces teams to mix, navigate, and make fast decisions together, all while exploring the place they've come to.

How to run it

  1. 1

Pre-write 20 missions worth different points: easy (selfie at landmark, 5 pts) through hard (find the oldest tree in the park, 25 pts).

  2. 2

Form teams of 5–6, mixing departments.

  3. 3

Two-hour time limit. All photos go to a shared album.

  4. 4

Reconvene at a bar with the leaderboard pre-counted. Award real prizes.

Facilitator tips

  • Always include one mission that requires talking to a stranger. It's where the best stories come from.

Where this fits

Pair this with the right venue setting and a matching retreat format. If you want a fully facilitated version, our team can run it for you.
